We work with volunteer attorneys in the community who donate pro bono time to serve our clients. Often, this means that we have more people who need help, than we are able to provide help to, but we do work hard to connect people to legal services.

In order to be screened for our services, we need you to call the CLEAR Hotline. This hotline is open Monday through Friday from 9:15AM to 12:15PM. The number is 888-201-1014. The hotline takes calls across the state so they are very busy. You will likely need to call every 5-10 minutes to get through. Once your call has been answered, you will speak with a Screener who will determine eligibility based on your household income (we accept individuals who have incomes at 200% or less of the federal poverty level). If you are eligible for services, you will be transferred to an attorney who will listen to your case, give you limited legal advice and forms and then refer you to the appropriate agency. Or you can visit: WashingtonLawHelp.org | Helpful information about the law in Washington for self help guidance and forms.

If you are a tenant facing eviction or other landlord/tenant issues, you can call the Eviction Defense Hotline. This number is 855-657-8387. Or you can visit: nwjustice.org/eviction-help to submit an application online.

For non-legal issues, our friends at YWCA Yakima have put together a non-exhaustive list of other community resources: Community Resources – YWCA Yakima.
