SUMMARY:First Annual Justice and Hope Gala
DESCRIPTION:Yakima County Volunteer Attorney Services was started 20 years ago by attorneys in the community who were deeply committed to the idea that justice belongs to all people – regardless of their ability to pay an attorney to help them with their civil legal problems.  Since that time over 270 attorneys have donated over 8\,100 hours of pro bono time. \nThe need for pro bono services continues to increase\, especially since the pandemic.  In 2020\, over 80 volunteer lawyers donated 470 hours to serve low-income individuals with civil legal needs. \nPlease join us in celebrating the work that has been done and supporting the work that continues to be needed at Fortuity Cellars on Thursday\, August 12 at 5:00PM for an evening of good food\, beer and wine where we will honor the founding board members and the 2021 Volunteers of the Year.
